How You Can Help

The San Diego Coalition to Stop the Genocide in Sudan is a group uniting organizations and individuals with the shared commitment to stop atrocities in the Darfur region of Sudan...and help provide humanitarian relief to the people of that region.

Our primary thrust is to focus the spotlight of media attention on the horrific atrocities perpetrated by the Janjaweed militias ...which are supported by the government of Sudan. Our intent is to get international intervention in the crisis in Sudan. Active involvement, and not just talk, is required to prevent the government in Khartoum from continuing its genocidal behavior.

Darfur is a genocide we CAN and MUST stop.

NEVER AGAIN....means NEVER AGAIN !!!!

We urge people to JOIN the Genocide Intervention Network.....and have our collective voices be heard in the seats of power.

We strongly encourage individuals and groups to mobilize their energy toward helping reverse the horrendous situation in Sudan and other nearby African countries.

We encourage students, workers, people of faith, people of conscience, and members of service organizations to first educate themselves about the horrendous situation in sudan...and then organize symposia, teach-ins, demonstrations, guerrilla theatre, and other events in the San Diego area. Such demonstrations and events will be critical to raising awareness about the tragic situation in Darfur ....and will be an important expression of solidarity with the people in Sudan...People whose suffering CAN NOT be ignored...and MUST NOT go unattended.

The San Diego Coalition to Stop the Genocide in Sudan does not do any fund raising.

Instead, we encourage people to contribute to any of the organizations (listed below) which are addressing the humanitarian needs of the displaced persons in Sudan and the refugees who have fled to Chad for to find safety there. Many faith-based charities have begun campaigns to help the people being ravaged by the Janjaweed.
